Maybe it’s all in your head.
Have you ever tried to manifest money, abundance, or a better life—and then quietly wondered, “Why isn’t this working for me?”
Let me say this first: you are not broken, even if you’re broke!
Manifesting money is one of the most popular and frequently sought-after goals within the manifestation community. If you’ve ever searched, “how to manifest money quickly” or “Manifesting financial abundance,” you are not alone.
According to global keyword search data, terms like "manifesting money" and "how to manifest money" generate over 100,000 highly targeted searches every single month. This volume places it in the upper echelon of self-help and spiritual practice search queries. (source: Keywords Everywhere)
Although money and abundance are not the exact same thing, both originate in the same place. Our mindset, or as I describe, our Think/Feel and point of manifestation.
Before wealth can show up at your door, you must prepare yourself by aligning with the energies of abundance, create value, and take the actions necessary to make it happen.
You cannot create abundance if you don’t believe it’s possible for you.
Now, here’s the catch:
Many of us inherited money beliefs that hinder our ability to manifest it.
Most of us were taught it’s impolite to speak about finances and so we internalize the shame around it.
Or you were told that wanting wealth is selfish. So, you silently criticize your desire for more.
If abundance feels exciting in your imagination—but quickly becomes entangled within your emotions, I wrote this article especially for you.
You can overcome the limiting beliefs or the scarcity mindsets that you inherited. Learning how to manifest abundance and wealth is doable.
However, wishing for more money won’t immediately put a million dollars in your bank account. That’s woo-woo culture, not the kind of manifestation that I speak of and live by.
Let’s start with the energy of abundance: Wealth, abundance, and prosperity are different attributes of the same energetic vibration. Money is the tangible proof of it.
In essence, money is value. Value is the energetic vibration that creates wealth. Learning how to vibrate in the same plane as value, will align you with making money.

The law of attraction is reflective in nature. As with anything that you want to manifest, we must become a clear, conscious match for what we desire.
What we consistently think, feel, believe, and embody becomes the energetic signal we send.
Your Think/Feel matters.
The Scarcity Mindset Is Sneakier Than You Think.
Scarcity is not just “I don’t have enough money.”
Scarcity can sound like:
“I’m too old to start over.”
“I’ll always be behind.”
“People like me don’t build wealth.”
“Money changes people.”
“I want more, but I feel guilty wanting it.”
This matters because your relationship with money impacts how you receive, manage, and expand abundance.
Suze Orman, the well-known financial expert, author, and public speaker, has long taught that money is not just mathematical—it is emotional. One of her most powerful teachings is that “fear, shame, and anger are the internal obstacles to wealth.” She adds that until we recognize those emotions and understand that they do not have to control us, we cannot experience what she calls “true wealth.”
Because if money activates fear, guilt, shame, resentment, or panic, we do not simply “think” about money—we energetically contract around it. And because the law of attraction is reflective in nature, that contraction can quietly shape what we allow ourselves to receive, manage, and grow.
If you want to heal your relationship with money, the most important task is to become conscious of the thoughts and emotions you attach to it.
Not to judge them or shame you.
But to lovingly witness them, regulate them, and choose again.
Because abundance does not begin with wishing for money to arrive.
It begins with becoming emotionally available to receive it.
If you want to heal your relationship with money, the most important task is to manage thoughts and emotions about it.

Abundance is not just the number in your bank account; it is your ability to receive without fear.
The Abundance You Want Is Not Fool’s Gold.
Here is the slightly controversial truth:
Abundance is not about having more things if those things make you feel trapped.
That is the abundance mindset beginners often miss.
Do you want to know the sad fact about receiving money before you are prepared for it mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually? It is reported that 33-70% of lottery winners encounter major financial distress or bankruptcy.
Why? Because most are not prepared for managing and keeping wealth. But it’s not just the education on wealth they lack, but the philosophies of living within a wealth mindset.
So, stop wishing for magical money to drop into your bank account, and instead learn the ways of the wealthy mind.
As the classic proverb goes, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feel him for a lifetime.”
Your Money Beliefs Shape Your Behavior.
Psychological research supports the idea that beliefs, expectations, emotions, and identity influence behavior and results as it pertains to our money mindset.
Financial psychology researchers Brad Klontz, Sonya Britt, Jennifer Mentzer, and Ted Klontz identified four “money scripts”: money avoidance, money worship, money status, and money vigilance. In their study of 422 participants, three of these belief systems were significantly correlated with income and net worth.
Even more compelling, the Financial Planning Association summarizes money scripts as unconscious, trans-generational beliefs developed in childhood that drive adult financial behaviors. Money avoidance, money worship, and money status are associated with lower income, lower net worth, and more revolving credit. (Financial Planning Association)
So when I say, “Many of us inherited money beliefs,” that is not just spiritual language.
It is also psychologically grounded.
“Money scripts—typically unconscious, trans-generational beliefs about money—are developed in childhood and drive adult financial behaviors.” (Financial Planning Association)
Align your energies to abundance.
In my book, Via Wonderment; Manifest the Life of Your Dreams, the principle, Magnetism is described as becoming a vibrational match to what you desire. When we resonate with the same vibration as our goals do, we attract it into our existence. The right people and situations can seem to appear with remarkable synergy.
That is not passive wishing or woo-woo magic. It is what psychologists call identity alignment.
Manifesting abundance, my way, requires you to heal your Think/Feel: your thoughts and corresponding emotions around your goals and desires.
You are not chasing abundance. You are becoming the version of you who can recognize it, receive it, respect it, and act on it.
Manifesting Abundance Totally Changed When I Learned This.
Tell me if this resonates.
For a long time, I thought manifestation meant focusing harder on the thing I wanted.
More visualizing, more affirming, more trying. Trying harder.
But the real shift came when I realized manifestation was not about chasing the object.
It was about aligning with the version of me who could receive it.
The law of attraction became my partner in goal achievement and abundance.
The more I healed my relationship with money and developed a greater sense of respect for my personal value, the more I attracted better people, situations, and circumstances into my life. From there, my ability to envision abundance and believe in and understand its flow, I was able to see the actions necessary to make it a reality.

I kept a small picture by my vanity as a reminder of my abundance goal. It’s been there all through the years that my husband and I created generational wealth. Every time I look at that image, I am reminded of the practices to manifest wealth:
• The principle of Manifestation- What you focus on, expands in your reality.
• To have gratitude for all the blessings that this world provides us every day allows me to be open to receiving more.
• To believe that there is enough abundance for everyone (allowing it without resistance).
Reminders™ are powerful manifestation mantras. They are an integration of spiritual truths, psychology, neuroscience-informed awareness, and inspiration for aligned action. Check out my exclusive Reminders™ desk art, click here.
To this day, my husband and I discuss our money manifestation philosophies as we determine what has true value, where our wealth is best spent or invested. We believe abundance and value must continue to flow to grow.
Other wealth manifestation experts echo similar wisdom.
Amanda Frances says it beautifully in her work on abundance: “Money comes naturally and easily to me,” and “Spending money is safe.” She frames money manifestation as choosing new beliefs when old family or cultural beliefs oppose abundance. (Amanda Frances)
Rhonda Byrne’s official site summarizes one of her money teachings this way: “believing you are already wealthy!” (The Official Website of The Secret)
And Forbes has covered self-made millionaires as people who build wealth through habits such as education, investing, and long-term effort—not magic alone. (Forbes)
That is where mindset meets action.
• You align your thoughts.
• You regulate your emotions.
• You choose better beliefs.
• Then you take aligned action.
Wealth and prosperity become the natural consequence of your actions, the tangible proof that your abundant mindset is aligned, and that you are becoming the version of you that receives the bounty of your value.
5 steps to an abundant mindset.

A Beginner’s Practice: How to Manifest Abundance Without Forcing It
1. Name the inherited money belief
Ask yourself:
“What did I learn about money from my family, culture, marriage, career, or past disappointments?”
Do not judge it. Simply allow yourself to name it so you can heal it.
2. Heal emotional triggers and choose a more abundant belief
Not a fake one, but rather a better, more abundant way to think about it.
Instead of: “I am instantly rich.”
Try: “I am learning to receive, respect, and grow money with confidence.”
And then, begin the growth that will heal the parts of you that needs more confidence. Learn about budgeting, fix your past mistakes, and seek counseling.
3. Align your Think/Feel
Your thought and emotion must work together.
If you say, “Money flows to me,” but your emotions brace or constrict, your Think/Feel is misaligned. In other blog posts, I describe the healing process of using believable affirmations to realign your thoughts and emotions. Read this post.
So, instead of reciting affirmations that are not believable just yet, reach for a statement that feels positive and is something you can emotionally resonate with.
Try: “It is safe for me to build a healthier relationship with money.”
When your thoughts and emotions work together, manifestation begins.
4. Take one aligned action
Manifesting money is not wishful thinking. You need to take the appropriate action.
Learning how to manage your money is how you heal your emotions around it and demonstrate to the Universe that you are ready to receive more. So, this is the time to put your new Think/Feel into action.
It may mean getting more education, pitching the client, applying for the job, raising your rate. It could also be reviewing your finances, cleaning your wallet, or saying no to the expenses that deplete your spirit.
5. Practice gratitude and receiving with grace
Gratitude does not mean “I should be happy with crumbs.”
Harvard Health notes that gratitude is strongly associated with greater happiness and helps people feel more positive emotions, handle adversity, and build strong relationships. (Harvard Health)
This is why gratitude is not a cute little side practice. Tony Robbins often speaks of his “Stop, Feel, and Appreciate” practice, as a way to shift your focus from what is wrong or missing to what is right and already present.
It is a nervous-system shift and powerful manifestation practice. It helps you stop living as if life is only taking from you—and start noticing where life is already supporting you.
The more you look for the positive in life, the more opportuntities that you will find. It is about becoming authentic, healed, and aligned to the version of you who creates and receives value in the world.
So today, instead of asking, “How do I manifest money instantly?”
Ask:
“What values of abundance would feel aligned, expansive, and true for me?”

Q&A: Tell me quickly.
1. Is manifestation real, or is it just positive thinking?
Manifestation is more than positive thinking. In Kat’s framework, it includes Think/Feel alignment, emotional awareness, belief work, and all-important inspired action.
2. Can I manifest money if I currently feel scared about money?
Yes. Start by softening the fear rather than denying it. Your first manifestation practice may be learning to feel safe enough to look at money clearly.
3. What is the fastest way to shift into abundance?
Gratitude plus one aligned action. Notice what is already working, then do one thing that supports the financial reality you desire.
4. How do I know my money mindset is improving?
You may notice new ideas, aligned people, clearer boundaries, better opportunities, or a stronger sense of self-trust. Be mindful and grateful for the indications of your improved vibrations. Keep learning the ways of abundance, and you will be on your way.
